What If An Agreement Is Not Reached?

• Mediation does not remove your rights to go to trial.
• If the two parites cannot come to a mutaully satisfying decision, the case can still proceed through the court system.
• It is possible to come to a partial agreement on an issue that can be submitted to the court

Keep in mind that mediation is often a chance to fully express ones feelings, wants, and needs without interruptions, which is not allowed in the court setting. Mediation allows participants to better understand the other parties views which can be essential in coming to an agreement in the future.
